The First Nations people of Alaska have a very long artisan history.  Their art forms range from wood carving to beadwork and much much more.   It is one of the founding principles of The Alaska Art Colony to nurture First Nations art.  The Colony has creative space dedicated exclusively to creating, displaying, and retailing Native artwork.   The Art Colony also offers a residency program structured to support local up and coming First Nations Artists.
